Day 500: We did it -- 500 days of #JJendlessvacay in the books!!! In the past 16+ months, we've slept in over 100 different cities, in every form of "accommodation" imaginable, including hotels, motels, hostels, guest houses, campgrounds, log cabins, villas, friends' couches/guest beds, boats, cars, trains, airports, and airplanes. We've visited 21 countries, taken more than 50 flights, gotten over 100 massages (!), and logged over 30 scuba dives. Our proudest accomplishment, though, is spending so much time with our friends and family while on this trip. This includes the nearly SEVENTY people (!!) who met us outside of the continental US, along with dozens more who traveled with/hosted us throughout the States and Canada. We've never felt homesick while on the road bc our home -- our community and loved ones -- have been with us every step of the way. This trip has been a dream come true, and we will never stop feeling grateful for this blessing. Thanks for following along on our journey. On to the next one!

Day 492: I can't post a travel picture today bc I spent the entire day alternating between pacing around our hotel room watching election coverage and hiding under the covers fearful of the results and what they meant for the future of our country. I grieved and mourned and felt mad and disappointed and scared, too paralyzed to move and too embarrassed about the orange asshat who will soon be the leader of the free world to face anyone in public. But then I remembered this moment from 2008, shortly after I started law school, when my new classmates and I danced in the streets of Berkeley to celebrate our first Black president. We were so fired up and hopeful for change. After a very sad day -- and much to my surprise -- I'm feeling some of those same emotions now. I'm buoyed, as always, by my badass, fierce, brilliant community, and by our ability to dig in, fight back, and go high no matter how low a DJT administration goes. #JJendlessvacay will be ending soon, but for once I'm feeling inspired to come home and get to work. There's shit to do and only we can do it.

Day 208: Perfect beach will make ya JUMP, JUMP! This magical place has powdery white sand, great snorkeling and diving, ample shade, and an affordable beach bar. We also saw dolphins and flying fish on the boat ride there, as well as the biggest fish I've ever seen while snorkeling. A solid 9.4 on @almostvindiesel's future beach hopper app! #JJendlessvacay

Day 405: Day trip to Zadar, where @almostvindiesel dragged me to a place called the "Museum of Illusions." We were the only people over the age of 21 and without children there. Not surprisingly, he LOVED it. #JJendlessvacay

Day 352: We were so sad to leave BCN, but then we landed on this gorgeous island and stuffed ourselves with pizza and wine and my new favorite cookies (amaretti - thanks for the rec @reliquaria!). Add in a stroll in an adorable little Italian town (Pula), a nap on a beautiful beach (Su Giudeu - thanks for the rec @nboutros!), and our first massive family meal at an agriturismo (7 courses, including the best lasagna I've ever had) and we are two very, very happy travelers. Day 273: Mt. Rinjani Trek, Day 3 -- Hiking is getting old, but these views certainly aren't. The Rinjani summit is obscured by the clouds here, but you can very clearly see the crater lake and the active, smoldering volcano below. When the volcano erupted just five months ago, our guides who weren't on the mountain ran up it as fast as they could to see the lava flow. We camped right on the lake last night and thankfully did NOT see any lava, just smoke constantly streaming out of the volcano. #JJendlessvacay

Day 443: Getting the #formosasamosa celebration started early with @delphyh and @manulohiya. We hate missing weddings at home, but a sunset catamaran cruise with the couple in Greece is a pretty good alternative. ? We ? you guys and are so happy for your upcoming nuptials and epic return to #JJendlessvacay
